Benjamin Grimm, or called The Thing, whose body is covered with an orange, flexible, rock-like hide. The Thing has no apparent neck. He has only four fingers (including the thumb) on each hand and four toes on each foot. He has no outer ear structure.

Clinton "Clint" Barton, code name Hawkeye, is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and founding member of the Avengers. Barton has no real superpowers but is the world's greatest marksman armed with a recurve bow.

Hawkeye seems to be somewhat unusual in the superhero world in that he doesn't have a primary-coloured uniform, and specifically he's associated with the colour purple. Why did his creators choose purple for him? It seems an odd choice.

  

  

Started as a villain so his costume was originally secondary color purple-themed. It also resembled the person who taught him how to use his bow, Trick-Shot.
