HG 1/144 YAMS-132 Rozen Zulu

My next post after a month since last post on 144 Wing Gundam Zero. Now here come a new elegant HG model kit from Gundam Unicorn, YAMS-132 Rozen Zulu. This is a mobile suit with Psycho Jammers attached and its INCOM shooting gimmick are really cool^^

The Rozen Zulu is based on the concept of the experimental Newtype mobile suit AMX-103 Hamma Hamma and was designed as an Anti-Psycommu warfare mobile suit. The Rozen Zulu is actually a heavily modified AMS-129 Geara Zulu using spare parts of the MSN-06S Sinanju

Similar to the Hamma Hamma, both of the Rozen Zulu's arms are wire-guided weapons that are an INCOM, by which the claws of the mobile suit may have the possibility of being used as a melee weapon, the claws come integrated with a mega beam cannon. It also has new petal-shaped remote control terminal devices built-in, the "Psycho Jammer", which disrupts the connection and function of enemy Psycommu-guided weapons.

Due to overall improvement of technology, as well as the enhanced psycho-frame, the pilot can use the suit's beam gun-mount claw arm more effectively than previous test suits of the same system. For defensive purposes, it carries a shield which has three built in mega particle cannons.

INCOM Claw, These are the main weaponry of the Rozen Zulu, each equipped with a pair of mega beam cannons of adjustable output. Each of these "claws" are wire-guided and controlled by the quasi-psycommu system.

Mega Beam Shield, The Rozen Zulu could be equipped with an optional shield to increase it defense. However unlike most other shields the Rozen Zulu's mounts an independent power generator which is used to power the shield's beam cannon.

The Psycho Jammers are store in the backpack container when not in use. A total of 6 Psycho Jammers in this kits.

INCOM lead-line gimmick just like AMX-103 Hamma Hamma.

However, although the Rozen Zulu excels at long distance combat, it has proven to be unable to handle close quarters combat well due to the few melee options available to the mobile suit and its unique arm design prevents the Rosen Zulu from using any handheld weapons that would mitigate this weakness. In fact, it has been shown that its close quarters performance is poor enough that a partially reconstructed NZ-666 Kshatriya was actually able to outperform it in hand-hand combat.

1/144 Wing Gundam Zero

Here's an old kit of mine from my childhood days when I was really ignorant of how to properly build Gunpla, the no grade 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero. A lot of colours need to be painted compare to the model kits nowadays.

Wing Gundam Zero was designed by the five engineers fifteen years prior to the events of the Eve Wars, the Wing Zero is the ancestor of the five Operation Meteor Gundams (WingDeathscytheHeavyarmsSandrock, and Shenlong). Designed with "Perfect Victory" in mind, it boasts exceptional abilities and is one of the two suits which utilize the ZERO System (the other being the Gundam Epyon), but because of this dangerous mental interface, it was kept hidden away until Quatre Raberba Winner desperately built it following his father's death. Like the Wing Gundam, it can transform into a high-speed flight mode dubbed "Neo-Bird Mode." Further, its twin buster rifle has more than twice the output of the Wing Gundam's buster rifle, giving it enough power to destroy an entire space colony or resource satellite in a single shot. It features hidden thrusters in the shoulder armor, where the armor splits open to reveal the nozzles. The feet also house powerful thrusters in order to give the Neo-Bird Mode extreme speed.

Wing Zero's primary armament is the Twin Buster Rifle, a weapon capable of destroying objects several miles in size, including an entire space colony

Piledriver Shield, features an anti-beam coating, and can shoot out the tip to puncture enemy MS armor similar to a real life piledriver. It possesses an aerodynamic shape to reduce air resistance in Neo-Bird Mode.

When separated into two individual buster rifles, they could destroy entire waves of targets. The rifle could also be attached to the suit's shield. It possesses power several times greater than that of the Wing Gundam's Buster Rifle, which already had a formidable power output.

The beam sabers are stored within the shoulder armor for quick access. They possess enough power to compete with the Gundam Epyon's powerful beam sword, and can easily melt through even the toughest Gundanium armor. They are also capable of operating underwater much like the beam scythe of the Gundams Deathscythe.

Ability to transform into a high-speed aircraft known as "Neo Bird Mode," which enables it to fly within Earth's atmosphere.

The main feature of Wing Zero is the ZERO System, a combat computer/pilot interface installed in the cockpit. The ZERO system connects directly with the mind of the pilot, flooding him with combat data and possible outcomes. This overload of data could allow the pilot to achieve total victory, but places great mental and emotional stress on the pilot. Those exposed to ZERO (an acronym for Zoning and Emotional Range Omitted) System can become totally unstable, unable to tell the difference between friend and foe. Victims may even suffer mental breakdown or death. The latter occurred when an OZ soldier, obsessed with the capabilities of Wing Zero and the ZERO system, used it to challenge the Gundam pilot Duo Maxwell, and eventually went insane and later died during the battle. Furthermore, the cockpit of the Wing Zero features various special features and systems to further compliment the ZERO System, such as special displays and controlling systems, including a 3 dimensional radar display.

At the conclusion of the series, Wing Zero is instrumental in bringing an end to the war in space. Like the other Gundams, Wing Zero received a massive redesign in Endless Waltz from artist Hajime Katoki. The most notable change in Wing Zero's redesign was the removal of its shield and "Neo-Bird Mode," and the addition of four angelic wings (which behave very much like a real bird's wings and are also capable of shielding the Gundam).
